What is covered?

Builders risk insurance protects against damage to any building that is in the process of construction. Builders risk liability protects the materials, equipment, and fixtures that are used in the construction of the building against damage. Builder's Risk Insurance may also include coverage incidents involving injury that occur on the site of construction.

What is not covered?

Builder's Risk Insurance will not cover damage to your property that is caused by floods or hurricanes, injury to yourself, employee injury that is not on the site of the covered construction of the building, sensitive information regarding your business, claims that occurred prior to the start of your insurance policy, or any damage with intent without negligence is proven. Although Builder's Risk Insurance will not cover these risks there are other insurance policies that can be put in place to cover some of the risks that are not covered by Builder's Risk Insurance.
